OUTDOOR DAY CAMPS

Our outdoor program strives to elicit in each child a strong sense of the imagination, empowerment, increased mobility & motor skills, respect for self and for others, healthy living, and environmental responsibility. This is achieved by delivering an almost exclusively outdoor-based program where children use the environment and objects found in nature to explore the world.

Our traditional Mongolian yurt makes a beautiful outdoor space and is located beside the small organic garden planted with an array of vegetables, herbs and edible flowers for the enjoyment and use of the children.

Sample Schedule
9:00 Greeting at the Knowlesville Art & Nature Centre
9:30 Gathering circle & songs
10:00 Morning outdoor walk & activities
11:00 Prepare snack together with fruits and vegetables
12:30 Lunch & Clean up
1:00 Storytime & Rest
1:30 Hand Work Time (Craft / Building activity / Painting or Pottery)
2:30 Closing circle and free play
3:00 Pick up at the Knowlesville Art & Nature Centre

June Buttercup Camp for Ages 2 to 6

The Buttercup Camp will be held Tuesdays and Wednesdays, June 15-16 and 22-23 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Cost is $45 per child for the 4 days inclusive or $20/day for drop-ins. Children should come with appropriate outdoor wear for the day’s weather and a nutritious lunch. Morning snack will be made together from fruits and vegetables. We look forward to meeting and working with your little ones!

July Forest Camp for Ages 3 to 9

The Forest Camp will be held from 9am to 3pm each Tuesday and Wednesday in July (July 6-7, 12-13, 19-20,26-27). The cost is $25/week per child or $80 for the four weeks inclusive. Children should come with appropriate outdoor wear for the day’s weather and a nutritious lunch. Morning snack will be made together from fruits and vegetables. Space is limited, so please register ahead for the weeks you are interested in ahead of time.
